For 30 days I was avoiding all carbs. I was used to eating avocado toast using ezekiel bread for breakfast. But during these 30 days I gave that up. It was hard but worth it in the end.
In an effort to recreate my favorite avocado toast I made these Avocado Lettuce Wraps. I used butter lettuce, sea salt, fresh lemon juice and cayenne pepper.
These avocado lettuce wraps are perfect if you want a small meal that’s satisfying, fills you up but does not leave you feeling heavy after. I absolutely love these for breakfast or anytime of the day.
Check out how super easy these are to make below. Enjoy!
1 hass avocado
4-6 butter lettuce cups
- Rinse lettuce and let dry. Mean while cut open the avocado, remove seed and make slices in each side of the avocado.
- Spoon desired amount of avocado into each lettuce cups, squeeze fresh lemon all over, add a pinch of sea salt and dash of cayenne pepper. Roll up and enjoy!
*You can also add shredded carrots, cucumbers and sliced bell peppers to the wraps.
